Child & Teen Therapy
Is Therapy Right for My Child?
Determining whether counselling is right for your child depends on various factors, including their individual needs and circumstances. If your child is experiencing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges that impact their well-being and daily life, counselling can provide valuable support. Signs such as changes in mood, academic performance, or social interactions may indicate a need for professional assistance. Consulting with a qualified professional can help assess the situation and determine the most appropriate course of action, ensuring that your child receives the necessary support and guidance tailored to their needs.

Confidentiality & Minors
Navigating the delicate balance between safeguarding a child or adolescent's right to privacy and respecting the parent/guardian's need for information is a nuanced responsibility for Children and Adolescent Therapists. By fostering a safe and open environment, we empower young individuals at Will Therapy Services to share their stories, thereby establishing a foundation of trust with their therapist. This trust is fundamental for an effective therapeutic experience, underscoring its significance in securing and maintaining positive outcomes. We prioritize consultation with guardians/parents throughout the therapeutic process, ensuring their involvement and understanding. While there are occasions when the parent/guardian may participate in sessions with the child's consent, we uphold confidentiality. Detailed information shared by the child is only disclosed with explicit consent or in situations where there's a perceived risk to the child or others. Instead, we provide general themes, ideas, and recommendations, offering continuous support and encouragement to the parent/guardian.
